Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono emphasized that the use of electric-based vehicles provides many benefits.

"This electric vehicle is free from the odd-even traffic policy system," he expressed, on the sidelines of a talk show entitled Electric Vehicle "The Future of Indonesian Transportation" at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, Central Jakarta, Sunday (11/20).
Acting Governor Heru Joins Electric Vehicle ConvoyHe added that Jakarta has become a role model for the electric vehicle use program which has been running for the past two years. The conversion of fuel-powered cars to electric cars has been implemented, starting from public vehicles such as Transjakarta and even official vehicles.
"Electric vehicles in Jakarta will be used in stages. We have converted many public vehicles and official cars using electric energy," he explained.
To support and promote this program, the Jakarta Provincial Government has partnered with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister, Transportation Minister, National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas), and PT PLN.
"We will continue to prompt the public to use electric vehicles," he stated.
